How the savings work
Lower bills without putting solar on your roof
Community solar uses larger solar farms that are already connected to the same grid your utility uses. Instead of installing panels at home, you are matched to a qualifying program and receive the savings through credits tied to your electric account.
The key point is simple: your power stays on as usual, your utility account stays in place, and you get a clearer path to checking whether bill savings are available in your area.

Simple answers before you do anything else
Most people have the same questions first. Is this real? Do I need panels? Do I change my electric company? Why do you need my bill?
What people are saying
Real experiences from real subscribers
“The representative explained how community solar farms work and how we essentially save money for subscribing to our nearest solar farm. It's pretty cool and I wish more people knew about this initiative. Easy sign up, and a clean conscience about going a little greener!”
— Hannah
“Truly the easiest way to impact the world by supporting renewable energy through opting into a local solar farm and saving money on my utility bill. Solar panels aren't an option for me since I'm in a condo building, so after learning about how community solar worked, it was an easy decision.”
— Kene
“The representative explained the program clearly, answered all questions completely and concisely, walked us through the set-up process, and did all in an extremely professional manner. We have saved each month since making the switch.”
— Matt
Priority enrollment
SNAP, Medicaid & income-qualified households
Many community solar programs reserve capacity — and offer higher discount rates — for households already receiving means-tested benefits. If you receive SNAP, Medicaid, or qualify under your state's low-income utility guidelines, you may be eligible for priority placement.
